Bitwise Asset Management has unveiled the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF (BITW) on the NYSE, marking a significant expansion of institutional-grade crypto investment products. The fund tracks ten major digital assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP, with notable inclusions of Avalanche (AVAX), Sui (SUI), and Polkadot (DOT) - the first such ETF to incorporate these assets.

The $1 billion launch reflects surging institutional interest following January's spot Bitcoin ETF approvals. 'This democratizes access to crypto assets that lack dedicated ETFs,' said Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley, positioning BITW as a retirement account-friendly vehicle for both advisors and retail investors.

The move comes as asset managers race to develop increasingly sophisticated crypto products, with Bitwise converting an existing index fund to capitalize on the ETF wrapper's tax advantages and liquidity benefits.
